This is where I am right now! That's right, one last plane ride and big trip before the little one. My sister Ali just moved to Spokane, WA and I am helping her settle in to she and Tanner's place. Thankfully he had everything there. Really we are just hanging out for a few days before she starts work and I go home. Sister time. Love it. Cherish it. Best part...Phil is batching it in West Jordan so we girls can play all we want to, or as much as the cankles allow!

JOB???
Yes I still have a job and I should be roaming but my feet are huge already and the kids are working on a project so I am safe. Thankfully I track off on Friday and get a three week break before finishing the year. So, now...after much ado I will get back to doing something school related.
Quilt

Phil and I decided not to purchase a crib set. Instead my mother-in-law found a super cute quilt quit with boy fabric and purchased it for me. I took a weekend to assemble the quilt and my super talented, wonderfully awesome friend quilted it as a gift (PS. Thanks so much Jenny. I love you tons). We picked the paint colors and such from the quilt and are purchasing sheets and other accessories to match the quilt. Tons of love and care have gone into it and it makes it that much more special to use in the room. Thanks to all who have helped with the project.
After

Here are our finished pictures of Baby E's room. We still haven't decided on a name and there is NO furniture, but at least we are making progress. Be sure to check out the super cute fan pullies Phil purchased! He is very proud them. By the way, he was the one who took this project on. I wouldn't have even thought about something this cute(sy) I am pretty plain. Thankfully Phil loves this kind of thing, and found the initiative to get it done. Sorry the pictures are so dark. I took them this morning before I left for work, it was 6:35am...yuck!
Before
BEFORE...a storage room that still contained boxes (just a few) of things I still hadn't unpacked. Yes, this July will be three years here!

Phil and Kya working hard to get some music to play before we painted.
No, Kya didn't help paint although it almost killed her to stay in the hall.

Kya LOVES Phil SO much. It is super cute!

Almost Ready
I realize that all of you who have ever been pregnant probably feel that it is the fastest 9 months of your life. Even with my constant throwing up, when I realize how fast our little guy is coming I can't believe it. That being said, Phil and I finished painting yesterday and pulled the tape off before we went to bed. I was so excited to see our creation in the day light that as soon as I could I snuck in and peeked this morning. Tomorrow we will paint and then Saturday we will put up the crown molding and then we just have to wait for the carpet to be installed, which should be the following week sometime. I can't wait to post pictures. I have a confession, Phil was the one who set out on the internet looking for fun ways to paint and decorate. I had nothing to do with it, other than picking out the colors with him and of course offering some physical labor. He is so excited and it shows more and more each day.

Mother's Day
I have this nasty, yucky, gross feeling in my tummy as Mother's day gets closer. I get this feeling every year, and have for about the last 4 years. Not because I don't love to celebrate mothers and all they do for the world. I love my mom and can't imagine my life without her. I love watching all my friends who are mothers and are excellent examples. I just don't personally want to be involved.
This is dedicated to the many others of you who feel this same pain each year.
I dislike mother's day due to these facts:
1. Church-I absolutely hate having to stand up, "All women 18 and older stand up and be recognized!" I realize people are trying to be nice but it is a dagger in the heart to those who are mourning not being a mother.
2. All the comments about how great motherhood is...those of us who don't know really do know how wonderful it would be. We dream of it daily, usually more than ten times!
3. People who are really trying to be supportive but say things like: "It will happen", "In God's time", "At least you got to sleep in" and many more.
4. Getting mother's day gifts when I am not a mother.
Now, those things being said I am trying to find a way to be more sensitive to this "holiday" as I will soon find myself among the ranks of mother. I still have this aching in my belly that tells me to skip church and stay in my jammies and enjoy the day. Although I have to make a decision, I still have a few days...thankfully!

Science Experiment

Well...
Last night after a BUSY weekend I must have been looking awfully spent. A dear friend suggested I take a bath and climb into bed with a good before before drifting off.
What an idea.
I was SO excited that's exactly what I did.
I lugged myself up the stairs and prepared by running super hot water for a few minutes, to warm up the cold tub. Then I found my yummy smelling body wash and began running the water.
"Heavenly," I was thinking...and it was. I enjoyed every minute of it.
When I finally decided I better get out, I grunted and groaned and finally found myself standing outside looking at a very small amount of water, less than half of what I usually need.
Wow, I guess I have put on some weight.
My water bill will be much lower if I continue to take baths like this!
