I am leaving in about an hour to a Women's Retreat at the Medicine Bow Lodge (near Saratoga, Wyoming).  It is a family reunion for the women...NO men!  Should be a blast.

I have just spent an exhausting day at school, getting ready to go back to school on  Monday.   I seem to think that each week is going to be less busy than the previous, only to be once again inundated with meetings, responsibilities, chores and things and I simply want or need to do. 

With so much going on I wanted to pause and say "thank you" to a special friend who called at just the right time Tuesday.  I am very grateful to friends who are willing to take time out of their own busy lives just to "check on" others.  It is charity at it's finest and I was in need.  So THANK YOU!

Ali and Tanner

My sister Ali and her husband Tanner were in town for the weekend and of course there was not enough time to do all we had planned but we definitely had fun.  Ali and I were talking the first morning they were here and realized that we hadn't had "alone time" for  six years.  Of course we had seen each other but hadn't been on our own. The phone just doesn't do justice to our friendship and I keep praying that she gets stationed in Spokane with Tanner so I can take a Southwest flight up to see her every once in a while.  A weekend trip to Spokane is much easier than a weekend trip to Hawaii.  

Here are our last minute pictures, since neither one of us was very good about it the entire time they were here.  You even get to view the finished paint job.  Yes...lots of red!

House Project

Here are the before pictures of my paint job.  My kitchen began the project and suddenly it spilled over to the family room and all south walls.  I hope I like the red in a month!

Mike Pike, our amazing neighbor helped with our windows.  We had installed the new ones but never finished them.  He is a miracle worker.  At this moment they are all done and painted popcorn white.  

I love the "new" feel.

So, Phil and I spent three wonderful days in Park City at the beautiful Mountainside Resort and bonehead me forgot to get any pictures.  Our room was amazing as it had a full kitchen, dining room, tv area, master bedroom and the biggest bathtub I had ever seen.  I wanted to take a picture because it was seriously strange.  Friday night I started running a nice hot bath and told Phil to leave me alone.  He came in about 2o minutes later becuase the water was still running and he hadn't heard from me.  He was worried I relaxed too much and fell asleep.  At that point the water was only about 1/2 full.  Did I say it was absolutely wonderful.  I finished my bath and went to sleep soaking wet.  What a great night.  

Saturday we did a bunch of shopping at the outlet malls and then played on the Alpine Slide and Alpine Coaster.  My favorite is the coater.  We rode together and laughed the entire way.  When we got to the bottom I was laughing so hard I had tears streaming down my face.  For dinner we dined at the Flying Sumo and took an eventful bus ride to Albertson's and then back to the condo.  

We stayed there until 4:00 on Sunday so we could watch football and just veg out.  It was amazing and the best part was I realized that I love Phil more now than I did six years ago when we got married.  It just keeps getting better!

Park City

I realize it has been awhile since I last blogged.  My life has been a whirlwind lately.  I tracked off last Friday and have been in a math class Monday-Thursday and am at school subbing today, Monday, and Tuesday.  On top of being in class for eight hours a day I had about 2 hours of homework each night, yes I am back in school...getting a math endorsement.  I don't  know why!  Phil and I are also finishing our window project, painting, trying to get an awning built, having 6 trees removed from our yard and pretending like we have time to have fun in-between.  

Phil is taking me to Park City this weekend to escape the rat race and spend some quality time together.  I can't wait to get out of town, hopefully by 6:00.  Rest, relax, eat, walk and hike.  Sounds great!
