Reason to cheer

I was really starting to sweat this one.

I don't know if I could have still been a Jazz Fan had Kyle Korver left.

Thankfully he opted to stay and I am a happy Jazz fan, at least for another year!

36 Weeks

Here I am world...36 weeks along!

Getting closer.  Dr says my body is getting ready.  Baby E (this is because we still haven't decided on a name) is head down and all the right parts are thinning or opening up.  He once again went over when to get to the hospital...just in case!  Like I couldn't figure it out.  If things change that much I hope I will have some clue, although I guess one never knows.  

Phil and I left feeling very thankful and excited to meet our little man. 

Bathroom Lighting

Ever notice how bathroom lighting is so yucky.  Tonight I found the worst bathroom lighting in the world. It is at the Village Inn on Redwood Road and 8600 S (ish).  Wowzer!!!  Beware if you ever eat there.  Food was great, bathroom...not so great. 

It Finally Happened

I realize this is strange, but what about pregnancy isn't???

For those of you who don't know, I have the most innie belly button one could ever imagine. As you know must belly buttons become outies as a pregnancy develops but I thought I had escaped that strange phenomenon as there was NO WAY mine would change that much. I tell you I have a crater!  

Well, I got in a bath last night to try to avoid any late night leg cramps and when I got out I noticed something...my belly button is as of last night an outie.  It is just a little outie, but with with 5 weeks I am sure it will continue to protrude.  

Phil saw it this morning and about died laughing!  What a fun bonding moment.  He then proceeded to tell me what a cute pregnant lady I am.  Sure, he tried to save himself.  I was too tired to care! 

Back to School...

Well, I had a fabulous off track time.  Enjoyed tons of family, lots of rest and two amazing baby showers (more info to come).  

Now it is back to reality and REALLY swollen feet!  

So swollen they hurt...badly.

I go to the doctor today.  

Starting my weekly appointments.

We can't believe it is this close.

Happenings

Well, in the two weeks I have off track so far my life has been very busy and full of fun.  

It started with a trip to Spokane to see my sister Ali, who was recently stationed there. She will be the officer in charge of officer recruiting at Gonzaga and the surrounding areas including Idaho and Montana.  I flew in and we had dinner at a great deli and went to she and Tanner's amazing condo.  We spent the next four days really just relaxing and sight seeing as we wanted to.  My cankles went away as we spent almost the entire weekend watching a Jon and Kate Plus 8 marathon, leading up to the season premiere on Monday.  Wow.  Anyone who knows us knows we are both really homebodies, and we just loved spending the time together.  We did spend time in their fantastic park, rode the gondala over the Spokane River...scary, ate at some great places, drove to Cor'De'Laine Idaho and walked the parkway and the lake, and saw a movie.  It was amazing and restful.  

I flew back to SLC on Tuesday and spent some time with Phil and our animals before getting up Wednesday frantically trying to organize the house for my littlest sister, Ashley to come and visit.  She got in Wednesday afternoon and stayed until Monday night.  We had a lot of fun as well.  She helped with some yard work, went to a baby shower and took notes of all the great gifts we were given, hung out and watched lots of TV with my feet up.  We also spent a good deal of time out shopping.  

As Ashley left Monday night Phil and I tried to get our schedules back on track.  We have adjusted pretty well and are working hard to have our house ready for the baby in seven or so weeks.  The reality of our life change is starting to sink in and we are relishing the time we have together, just the two of us!  

My mom has decided to come to town to help with any last minute stuff we need to do around the house and yard.  She comes this coming Tuesday and will be here over the weekend.  She is also going to go to school with me to help get my room ready for going back the last three weeks of the year.  What a trooper...she has no idea I have so much for her to help with!

Anyway, to those of you whom I have neglected or not called back recently please understand I am just trying to survive these days. Lots to do and not enough time or energy.  I promise to get it all under control, I just don't know when it will happen. So, keep calling and waiting.  I promise!  

Slacker

Sorry. I am a slacker. I am a swollen, tired, HOT, and cranky slacker...but I promise to do better. I have to change my attitude in order to survive the next hot month and still be married to my great husband!  

I will update our goings on starting tomorrow. Right now I am taking my dog for a walk, or at least what I now call a walk and then will be going to bed to try to sleep.
