Easter

Okay, okay. I know this is late but the school's computer system has been down as a thank you to the district split.  I think it is fixed...at least for today.

I LOVE to dye Easter Eggs and as one of our Easter traditions Phil and I dye eggs. We waited until Saturday night this year. I found a fun sports egg kit and we both had a great time.

On Sunday we had a yummy dinner with Phil's family. It was much smaller than usual as it was just his immediate family as his Grandparents were a bit under the weather.  We had a great ham, a very yummy twice baked potato salad (thanks Amanda) and a wonderful strawberry cheesecake layered desert (thanks Erika).  I got lucky and brought corn, yep that's right, just plain corn!  It was a great day as we always love getting together.

Spring Break

It is finally 2:00 and Shelly, my amazing principal, just announced that we can get outta here!  Although I feel like it is more of a winter break I am loving the fact that I have a four day weekend. Look out pajamas...here I come.

5 hours!

I know this doesn't sound like much, but it shows how not well I am still doing. Last night after school I went home and fell asleep on the couch for 3 hours.  I went to bed about 10:15 and woke up again at 11:30 thinking here we go again.  After grabbing a quick drink of water and attempting to blow my nose I went back to bed.  When I woke up my clock said 4:54!  Wowzie...only 6 minutes before Phil's alarm.  I was super excited until I got up and realized that I wasn't feeling any better. The sleep is still wonderful and I will take what I can get.  I am hoping for a repeat tonight as I get the next two days for our Spring Break.

4:00 AM!!!

So this is what I woke up to this morning, only it wasn't looking so friendly.

I can't remember the last time I woke up to 4:00 am.

I don't know if it was pregnancy, my cold or both but it wasn't pretty.

I ate a bowl of Captain Crunch and read.

Life goes on...without cold medicine.

I now have perma-lip and scruffy, dry nose.

It should be a great day for my 28 sixth graders.

Watch out!

Bliss

Last night I was determined to not have another break down.  To avoid it I got a visit from a friend and then decided to do what any sad girl would do...shop!  Lisa and I went to Costco and then to Walmart as Phil and I have been complaining about not having groceries and such for almost two weeks now.  After aimlessly wandering around Walmart I found the Easter candy isle.  HEAVEN.  I have forgotten how good candy is since my stomach has been so raunchy it hasn't settled well.  I decided to try an old friend, and yes, Cadbury Creme Eggs were/are pure bliss.  My stomach handled it like a pro and I had a smile on all night.  The best thing in the world is that they now make them in a mini-size and they come in a crate of 12 like real eggs.  Now a treat that was once super messy is now bite size and even yummier.

Sorry hips, I will finish the 10 I have left!

Going Crazy

Yikes,  this is how I felt last night.

I know life isn't bad and that I am a bit unstable right now, hormones I guess, but I really think I am going crazy.

My cute husband had to work late, super late, like he came home about 9:15 pm.

I got home about 5 and was already hungry.  I took meat out of the freezer to make sauce and ended up sitting on the couch watching TV and falling asleep for about an hour.

When I got up my meat had flooded with water and looked/smelled nasty.

Just on the brink of tears I decided to pack up and go to my M-I-L's for a bit of quilting advice.  She is always one to brighten my day.  We got all my mess worked out and talked for a while which also made me feel better.

About 7 Phil called to tell me he would be really late and we decided to grab dinner on our own. All I wanted was to be at home, eating a meal with my hubby, but I could settle for a sandwich on my own.  After all, my sauce was ruined and I didn't feel like shopping.

I ended up having a great meal with Phil's family.  Erika rocked some chicken and rice.  It was fabulous and couldn't have been more needed.  I also got some good playtime in with Bekah, also much needed.

When I thought I could face an empty house I ventured home to Kya.  We got settled in with a book and that's when the tears started.  After a few minutes the reality of it his me...

I AM CRAZY!

I am praying for a better day today.
