Crawling for Real

Xander is really moving.

Nothing is safe.

I love it!

Crawling

My baby is REALLY crawling.

Not scooting and rolling.

No more face planting and arms getting stuck.

He is up and going.

Way too quickly.

Oh, and by the way, it is SO cute!!!

Husbands...Gotta love em!

So, yesterday I had a School Community Council Meeting in Herriman. It caused us to change up our routine and gave Phil the awesome chance to spend the evening with Xander as I stayed at school ALL DAY. When I got home about 8:45 Phil and X were playing. I was interested to know how their evening had gone so I asked. Phil started spilling his guts about their trip to Costco for dog food, playing with Kya, having dinner, and taking a bath (all without me there). He proceeded to tell me Xander didn't eat much dinner so I inquired about what he fed X as Phil hasn't ever made the cereal before, I realize now that was a big mistake. We have two kinds of oatmeal, one plain and one with mixed fruit. I also had one half used jar of peas in the fridge. When I started piecing the story together I started to laugh and went to the fridge and opened up what was left of little X's dinner. Oh, can I say major gross. Phil had made fruit cereal and mixed peas into it. It looked disgusting and it smelled even worse. We got quite a laugh and we both realized that it was time for us to tackle a few of these jobs together for awhile so we were on the same page! I love Phil for trying and Xander for eating a little of his dinner!!!

6 Month Check Up

Xander had his 6 month check up today.

Stats: 17 lbs 12 ounces

26.5 inches long

Eating all sorts of baby food and cereal.

Loves sucking on pickles and breadsticks.

Laughs all the time.

Sleeps from 8 or 9pm to 7 am.

Loves being social and playing with other children.

Is happy most of the time.

Eats like a champion, definitely our son.

Almost sits up on his own.

Rocking and scooting like crazy, nothing is safe.

Babbles to himself...most of the time.

Wants to eat when we eat.

Is the best thing Phil and I have ever done!!!

Although this picture was taken the Sunday after Christmas when X was about 5 months I had to post it. This is my favorite picture of my two men! I have it framed on my desk. Love it!!!

This was X on New Year's Eve. Party Animal.

We will have our hands full as he gets older. Busted at 4 months!!!

Bad Hair

Need I say more?

Xander is no longer sleeping swaddled and the result of his crazy movement while sleeping and the use of cradle cap shampoo, which is really like hair gel, resulted in him waking up like this.

I love this boy!

I am back.

Wow. A month off of school. A trip to Wyoming. My baby turning 5 months old. Christmas. New Years. I didn't post about any of it. Never fear. It will be coming. I am back to school so our normal schedule will start and I will no longer ignore the blogging world.

4 Months

Here is my sweet baby after his 4 month check up and shots.

SAD. SAD. SAD.

He was a trooper and barely cried at the office.

Xander now weighs 15 lbs 12 oz and is 25 inches long.

He loves to play with anything he can get his hands on,

and it usually goes straight to his mouth!

He loves his dad and always lights up when he hears Phil's voice.

Is the happiest when he wakes up in the morning.

Eats like a champion and gets to start cereal tonight. YUM.

Has been laughing at about anything that scares him.

Smiles all the time.

Enjoys his binky, but not as much as his hand.

Drools almost always.

Has been rolling from his tummy to his back for about two weeks,

and just last night really rolled from his back to his tummy.

After about twenty minutes of it last night he seemed like a pro.

He now likes to roll across the floor, and goes until he runs into something.

The bad news is that he can only go one way right now!

I guess time will fix that.
