Little Things

I didn't want to jix myself and speak too soon but I have to shout it out...

I have been drug free for two days with no throwing up!!!  

It is the little things in life that make us thrilled.  

AND

We are painting our little nursery, things are starting to come together.  

29 Weeks Huge

I know for those of you who have been here, done this, that I am not very large at all yet...but I am feeling it.  This is for my mom who doesn't get the pleasure of seeing my expanding self on a daily basis.  Yes Mom, It's me Amanda!  I miss you tons and love you more.  

Easter

Okay, okay. I know this is late but the school's computer system has been down as a thank you to the district split.  I think it is fixed...at least for today.  

I LOVE to dye Easter Eggs and as one of our Easter traditions Phil and I dye eggs. We waited until Saturday night this year. I found a fun sports egg kit and we both had a great time.   

On Sunday we had a yummy dinner with Phil's family. It was much smaller than usual as it was just his immediate family as his Grandparents were a bit under the weather.  We had a great ham, a very yummy twice baked potato salad (thanks Amanda) and a wonderful strawberry cheesecake layered desert (thanks Erika).  I got lucky and brought corn, yep that's right, just plain corn!  It was a great day as we always love getting together.

Spring Break

It is finally 2:00 and Shelly, my amazing principal, just announced that we can get outta here!  Although I feel like it is more of a winter break I am loving the fact that I have a four day weekend. Look out pajamas...here I come.  

5 hours!

I know this doesn't sound like much, but it shows how not well I am still doing. Last night after school I went home and fell asleep on the couch for 3 hours.  I went to bed about 10:15 and woke up again at 11:30 thinking here we go again.  After grabbing a quick drink of water and attempting to blow my nose I went back to bed.  When I woke up my clock said 4:54!  Wowzie...only 6 minutes before Phil's alarm.  I was super excited until I got up and realized that I wasn't feeling any better. The sleep is still wonderful and I will take what I can get.  I am hoping for a repeat tonight as I get the next two days for our Spring Break.  

4:00 AM!!!

So this is what I woke up to this morning, only it wasn't looking so friendly. 

I can't remember the last time I woke up to 4:00 am.

I don't know if it was pregnancy, my cold or both but it wasn't pretty.

I ate a bowl of Captain Crunch and read.

Life goes on...without cold medicine.

I now have perma-lip and scruffy, dry nose.  

It should be a great day for my 28 sixth graders.
