Going off track

As Ren and Stimpy say, "Happy, happy, Joy, Joy!".  This is such a stupid cartoon and my parents wouldn't even let us watch it because it was so pointless and inappropriate but their message sits well today.  I track off in one and a half days and couldn't be happier.  I have found myself counting down the minutes!  To make it even better my mom is coming in on Saturday to stay for a week.  I can't wait. ONE AND A HALF DAYS!.

We Have A Sack

Well, after being stuck in the doctor's office waiting for thirty  minutes, bare naked from the waist down, we got the news we were waiting for.  There is both the yolk sack and some other bigger sack for the baby to grow in, it has a big name and I can't remember...sorry.  We are only 5 weeks and a few days so still not out of the woods but it is one more super sign we are on the right track for a July baby.  We have another ultrasound in two weeks to be sure there is a heartbeat, keep praying!

I love this time of the year because for the next 9 MONTHS we will be the same age!  Today is Phil's birthday and I am way to nervous to say anything wonderful about him, except that he is just that...wonderful.  Don't get me wrong, we have had our problems and thankfully have worked through them to be stronger and more in love now than we were seven years ago when we met.  He is a blessing to me and to our family. I love you Phillis!  Happy 28th!!! 

Nervous

I am all nerves right now.  

So is Phil. 

He has text me at least 5 times today...already.  

We go in at 3:00 so an update post will follow tomorrow.

It is National Adoption Month!

That being said:

When I checked Kim's blog one morning I was reminded of one of my all time favorite movies.  I LOVE "Juno"! If you haven't seen it and can stomach a bit of raunch-i-ness...watch it.  You will laugh like you haven't laughed in along time. 

I especially love the blue slurpee and comment about "pork swords".  

Liberty Bell also cracks me up.  

All in all the movie has a great message and shows the selfless side of birth-mothers. We DO love birth mothers!  Every one of them.

Okay, so I know many of you have been waiting for this news, so here goes.  Our first test says we are pregnant.  It is super early, like 5 weeks, so we are by no means "out of the woods" but we are past another milestone so we have been celebrating.  We have an ultra-sound and another blood test  on Tuesday the 25th at 3:00.  We are continuing to pray that all will remain well. 

Phil was amazing on Saturday.  After the initial excitement and shock wore off I got really scared and started crying.  I asked Phil the "what if" question and he so calmly said, "Heavenly Father has been with us this far and if this doesn't turn out exactly the way we want it to, we will have a child waiting for us in the eternities." 

That simple statement made me realize the depth of the Gospel and its true healing power.  This process is definitely a test of faith and medical knowledge but together, with God, we can do it...whatever comes our way.
