Weekend?
Weekend...what weekend? It was even a three day break for Phil and I both and I still have no idea where it went. We did some shopping, looked at baby stuff...yikes, and replaced our broken down microwave. I about died when I saw my calendar today and realized it is already Thursday. Time is out of control right now and I only wish I felt better to enjoy more of it. I am still really gross feeling and woke up Tuesday with my head in the toilet...still! I keep thinking it is getting better and then reality sets in. I know it will pass and I just continue to plug along with my friend Zofran (anti -puking pill so I can function) and enjoy my ever increasing hips, thighs, and tummy!

$8.11

Last night I couldn't believe my eyes. Phil and I had been running some errands, getting his new suits fitted at the Men's Warehouse among other things...he is going to look SO HOT, and I had spent about 1 1/2 hours sitting watching and supporting. Those of you who know how much I like clothes shopping realize this was torture for me. I like to get in and out, not to mention I was STARVING.
After we had paid and were walking out I spotted my new favorite place to purchase produce...The Sunflower Market, it is right across from Fashion Place Mall by Men's Warehouse. The place is amazing. It is a health-food store. What drew me in was a sign advertising grapefruit, which I have been eating like mad lately. They were 4 for $1.00. What a buy. Phil and I walked around picking up yummy looking fruit and veggies and adding them to our basket. I got four grapefruit, four granny smith apples, cilantro, red leaf lettuce, and 2 pounds of my favorite bing cherries, which are wonderful, for $8.11 . Phil and I did a double take at the register and then decided we would for sure go back. You should check it out!

Confessions

I HATE cleaning my shower! I love having a clean bathroom and I will scrub the toilets, mirrors, floors, sinks and even wash bathmats before I will scrub my shower walls...the bathtub is okay but the walls I dislike. I hate them because I feel like the only way to do it is to spray the walls down, which takes forever, and then strip down and shower with the chemicals because it is the only way to scrub and rinse without soaking myself. I realize many of you may have better methods and I may be shower-capped but this weekend I couldn't take it anymore. After watching a commercial Saturday morning I went and bought the best new shower cleaning product...ever!
Introducing my life saving Mega Shower Foamer!
It is truly a life saver. If you have my issues give it a shot. Spray it on in an aerosol foam and wait two to five minutes then wipe down if the walls are really grimy, or if not just rinse. I didn't get wet and my walls are clean and shiny!
Love it!

Sixth Graders think they know EVERYTHING!

I finally told my class that Phil and I are expecting a baby. Of course their were a bunch of giggles and I heard one of the boys say, "I know how that happened". I ignored the comment laughing to myself...these kids have NO idea how this happened!
I guess some things are better left a mystery.
The sweetest comment I got was, "are you going to leave us"? I told them that the baby isn't due until we are done with school and the cheers went up. I felt very flattered. Then a different girl said, "I am totally giving you my email so you can send pictures of the baby."
I love this group of kids.
I made it!

Back on Track
I have to say I am sorry for ignoring my blog for a month. I am dying to check updates on each of your blogs and know that it is sort of a bummer when someone doesn't blog for four whole weeks. That being said a ton has happened and so I will update with NO pictures.
First, on December 6th my wonderful mom flew in. We spent a week together having fun and just enjoying being together. It was great as I didn't have to work and Phil was at work, we just had time to be. It was great. My Dad came and joined us that Thursday and we played even more. The highlight was the Jazz game (which they lost).
Second, Phil and I went to Wyoming for seven days around Christmas. I love going and this year was super special as we had more time to be there with my Grandmother and Dolye, who flew in from California. We got there on the 21st and had time to help decorate the tree, put up lights, and bake all sorts of yummy cookies. As the rest of the family arrived things got hectic topping off at 29 people for Christmas Eve through the 26th. Lots of family and fun.
When we got home, thankfully on mostly dry roads, Phil went back to work and got another promotion at Discover Card. He is doing so well there. I am very proud and enjoying more money. Despite the economy Phil is still selling house and has a closing next week and one in February. We are truly being blessed right now.
I couldn't sleep last night as I had the jitters about going back to work. I hate them because I have nothing to worry about. My classroom was ready any my kids are amazing. I was actually happy when they walked in this morning. I guess we will see how long it lasts!
Now, I realize I have left out some really big news and yes I have been back to the doctor, twice since I tracked off. When I went on December 8 we got to see the heartbeat of our baby. What a neat experience! Then as the doctor was scanning to make sure all was well he found a second baby! Yes, TWINS. We were really excited but very scared. I went back on December 29 and discovered that our second little guy wasn't with us anymore so we are only having one. Of course Phil and I were sad but understand that if it was going to happen it was better earlier than later as our baby was strong and floundering like a fish. Today I am 12 weeks along and despite being on Zofran to be able to function without throwing up five times a day all is well. I am hoping to be able to ween myself off the Zofran as my body is adjusting to the hormone levels leveling off.
Once again I am sorry to keep you all waiting. Now that I am back to life blogging will resume. Hope you all have a good New Year.

Going off track

As Ren and Stimpy say, "Happy, happy, Joy, Joy!". This is such a stupid cartoon and my parents wouldn't even let us watch it because it was so pointless and inappropriate but their message sits well today. I track off in one and a half days and couldn't be happier. I have found myself counting down the minutes! To make it even better my mom is coming in on Saturday to stay for a week. I can't wait. ONE AND A HALF DAYS!.
